EL DIABLO KARTING

Imagen

HOW TO PLAY

-Since it's a small, experimental project you need to run at 1024x768 resolution, allowing the console to work fine. This way you should have no problems seeing all the circuit and racing in it.

-Pit is almost useless :)

-Grid line is for 6 cars only, so basically race with 5 bots or friends.

-If you have visualization problems try to reboot the game and change to 1024x768 resolution.

Hope it works! Enjoy!

Hello guys :)

Just using some free time at work to make this little funny track for you. It's a very small track inside a luna park situated somewhere in the middle of Europe... something weird happens at night in that dark place but guys arriving each day to race karting there.

Once finished you can of course download and play it, just for fun. Had this weird idea of a little track sorrounded by circus, animals and luna park barracks :spin:

Circuit is done!
Here the preview.

It'll be funny :spin: Short circuits are really crazy when U use bots, U are constantly lapping people or U might also be constantly lapped. Good luck :D

It's a kart track indeed but even smaller and some animals may ruin the race too :D
You can do small kart races here (4-5 players max) and planning to add a weird pit lane for longer races...

My favorite F1 driver is Alonso, I think he's an excelent driver. But I don't think that accident was Kimi's fault. In fact, Kimi was in the limit of the track, if we went just a bit more to the left he would had gone out of the track. But Alonso, in that confusion, didn't had much space to brake, so he tryed to go to the space in front of Kimi, but he touched with the rear tyre on Kimi's wing. That was a sad situation, but they're things that happen.
But what I really hated in the race was Vettel's win. I assume he's a very good driver, but I just don't like him. If the champion is not Alonso, I would like to see Kimi winning this championship. I like Kimi too. I felt very happy when I knew he was comming back to F1. :D And he's just around 40 points of Alonso and less then 40 from Vettel, so, it's still possible. They 3 and Hamilton are still (realistically) on the championship fight.

Yeah, Alonso is the most dedicated experienced driver but I like very much Lotus and Kimi Raikkonen. Vettel is really annoying but he is very good (just compare the same car results of Mark Webber and you got the skill of Vettel).

Anyway, done some updates :)

-Resizing the canvas and elements

-Added some caravans, elephants

-Added lights around the track and made it darker

Circuit is done! It's a quick experimental drawing so sorry if is not working properly, just trash it :grumpy:
or keep the image and try to make a custom edit if you can solve some problems. That will be really helpful! I'm not good at editing...

Read the "how to play" to make it working. You can enjoy quick races against 5 bots or just do some time trials. It's a really short track. Hope you like it. ;)

If you want, I can edit the circuit and send to you. In fact, I love to edit circuits (it's the only thing I can do well :spin: ) And it's very short, in less then 1 hour it's done, but I'll just do it on the afternoon, 'cause now I gotta go to school :(

You can edit your own version and I will append your link here :)

I think now is playable on 1024x768 resolution. Don't know why is not working in other resolution but I think it's because is very small size canvas.

If you want to edit remember to put wall in the bottom part of the grass pit lane (cause is elevated from the ground) and to the side parts of the tunnel.

Anyway the track is just for some funny time trials or quick races with few bots ;)

KNOWN BUGS

-I've tried on different pc, my new laptop with windows 7 can't handle it without using 1024x768. On another pc is working also on different resolutions :? Maybe some editing problems? Who knows...

-AI cars are crazy but I think this is also my fault with editing :bang:

-Not sure to have edited well the DRS.

So you can see that I'm poor at editing :)

HI Gross. I edited the circuit from the beggining, doing everything carefully, but in the end I had the same problems with the picture. Some bots go crazy in that circuit, but that's nobody's fault, it's just because the circuit has few space and they easily go out, just like happens in some boxes like Interlagos, for instance.
It's possible to have until 32 drivers on pratice and qualifying, we cannot change it 'cause we have to put every boxes cars on the pit lane, because we never know each one will bots use. For race I just put6 drivers on the grid and put the others out of track, putting 1st sector with them, so they could be DNF.

It's a funny track, hard to drive, U need lot of concentration, but that's good, 'cause it tests our skills, but I think the solution would be to turn the picture a bit bigger. The track will become less hard, but I think U won't have more problems. Try to change the size to 2X bigger just to experiment.

P.S. I analysed your edition and it was OK, the problems are not related with your edition. The only thing I gotta say is that U have to be careful with the sectors. The drivers must pass on the sector, and after turn 1 it was possible to cut the 2nd turn without passing on the 1st sector.

And U put correctly the DRS, but your DRS zone had a turn in the middle, maybe your idea was to make two DRS zones, wasn't it? But to be honest, if U want, U may remove the DRS, 'cause it doesn't have any effect in this circuit because the straights are too short to DRS to have effect. Circuits don't have to have a DRS zone, U just put it if U want to.

Yes Lalonso, thanks for your time editing this experiment. I noticed only once finished that was too small drawing  Patience...

I've tried some quick races in 1024x768 resolution and seems working. The problems come with practice mode, time trial for bots.

Let keep this little experiment as it is. Resizing would be good but requires a bit of time to redraw the circuit.

You can add your edited version here, just post the link and I will put also in the first post. Thanks ;)
